Night Before Christmas Coffeecake

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 2 eggs beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup warm milk shopping list
- 1 package yeast dissolved in 3 tablespoons warm water shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon shopping list
- 4 tablespoons melted butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts shopping list
How to make it
- Cream together sugar and butter then add eggs, milk, 1 package yeast , flour, salt and vanilla.
- Beat all of these ingredients together then set dough aside and let it rise until double in size.
- When your coffeecake dough has risen to double the size put it in a greased rectangular pan.
- Combine sugar, cinnamon, melted butter and nuts then spread over cake.
- Place in a cold oven and leave it in there overnight to rise.
- The next morning turn oven to 350 and bake for 30 minutes then take out and serve warm.
