Hungarian veal Paprikas

- 4 lb young veal shopping list
- 3 tbs lard shopping list
- 2 large onions-chopped shopping list
- 1heaping paprika shopping list
- t tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp vegeta shopping list
- 2 large ripe tomatoes,peeled seeded shopping list
- 1 yellow pepper- chopped shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black pepper, shopping list
- 1hungarian babana pepper-hot or mild shopping list
How to make it
- Cut the veal into 1 inch dice.
- Melt lard in a heavy casserole and fry onions until it is light brown.
- Mix in veal,salt,black pepper,vegeta,paprika
- Cover,and start cooking over very low heat.
- The secret of this dish is to let meat cook in in the steam,
- From it's own juices,and the juices of the onion.
- Just before the stew starts burning,add 2 cup water.
- Keep cooking .
- Meanwhile ,blanch tomatoe,peel and dice.
- When meat is beginning to get soft.
- In 20-30 minutes,dipending on the age of the veal.
- Continue to add water bit by bit as needed,
- When meat nice and soft add tomatoes,yellow paprika, and
- banana pepper
- mix and cook for another 20-30 minutes.
- The texture must be achieved without any thickening.
- Serve with dumplings or mash potatoes.Enjoy
