Hungarian Veal Paprikas Recipe
This is a very favorite dish,in my home. my kids loves it.

Ingredients
  • 4 lb young veal
  • 3 tbs lard
  • 2 large onions-chopped
  • 1heaping paprika
  • t tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vegeta
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes,peeled seeded
  • 1 yellow pepper- chopped
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper,
  • 1hungarian babana pepper-hot or mild

Directions
  1. Cut the veal into 1 inch dice.
  2. Melt lard in a heavy casserole and fry onions until it is light brown.
  3. Mix in veal,salt,black pepper,vegeta,paprika
  4. Cover,and start cooking over very low heat.
  5. The secret of this dish is to let meat cook in in the steam,
  6. From it's own juices,and the juices of the onion.
  7. Just before the stew starts burning,add 2 cup water.
  8. Keep cooking .
  9. Meanwhile ,blanch tomatoe,peel and dice.
  10. When meat is beginning to get soft.
  11. In 20-30 minutes,dipending on the age of the veal.
  12. Continue to add water bit by bit as needed,
  13. When meat nice and soft add tomatoes,yellow paprika, and
  14. banana pepper
  15. mix and cook for another 20-30 minutes.
  16. The texture must be achieved without any thickening.
  17. Serve with dumplings or mash potatoes.Enjoy
