How to make it

  • melt chocolate in glass bowl over hot water
  • stir in brandy and water, set aside in warm
  • whip the cream vanilla and sugar together to soft peak
  • fold 1/3 of cream into chestnut puree
  • very lightly combine all to give a coarse marble effect
  • allow to set firm in fridge
  • using a small serving/ large dessert spoon dipped in hot water draw it accross the marble cream to produce an egg shape(like curling butter) put straight into brandysnap baskets 3-4 per basket, decorate as you will, fresh raspberries are good as is chocolate sauce(just make more of the choc, brandy, water mix)
