Pork Chop And Apple Bake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 pork loin chops
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp crumbled dried sage
  • vegetable oil
  • 3 Granny Smith apples or other tart apple
  • 3 Tbs molasses
  • 3 Tbs all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 Tbs vinegar
  • 1/3 cup raisins

Directions
  1. Season pork chops evenly on both sides with salt and sage.
  2. In a large skillet heat a tablespoon of vegetables oil over medium heat.
  3. Brown pork chops in hot oil on both sides
  4. Transfer pork chops a shallow baking dish.
  5. Reserve drippings.
  6. Peel, core and slice apples 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Arrange apple slices over pork chops.
  8. Drizzle molasses over apple slices.
  9. Sprinkle flour over skillet drippings.
  10. Cook until brown, stirring occcasionally.
  11. Slowly add water, stirring constantly, until smooth, then bring to a boil.
  12. Stir in vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and raisins.
  13. Pour mixture over pork chops.
  14. Cover pan with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes
