How to make it

  • Lightly brown the onion in melted butter.
  • Add the carrots and salt and toss to coat.
  • Cook, uncovered over low heat for 20 minutes
  • Add bouillin cubes, water and rice.
  • Cover and simmer 1 hour; then blend until smooth
  • Pour the mixture into saucepan, stir in the milk and heat well--DO NOT BOIL.
