Monkey Bread

                    - 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup Crisco shortening shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cake compressed yeast shopping list
- 1/4 cup luke warm water shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1 cup milk, scalded shopping list
- 4 cups all purpose flour, sifted shopping list
- 1/4 cups melted butter or margarine shopping list
How to make it 
                    - Crumble yeast into warm water. Let stand 5 minutes.
- In the meantime, add sugar, Crisco shortening, and salt to hot milk. Stir until shortening melts and sugar dissolves. Cool to luke warm.
- Combine milk and yeast mixtures.
- Add eggs and half the flour. Beat well. Add remaining flour. Turn dough onto lightly floured board. Kneed until smooth.
- Place dough in well greased bowl. Cover and let rise 1 1/2 hours, until double in bulk.
- Roll dough to 1/2" thickness. Cut into pieces size of small walnut. Roll into balls. Dip each ball in melted bitter. And place in 10" tub pan.
- Cover and let rise until double in bulk.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 20 minutes. Turn onto serving plate. Serve hot!
- Do not cut, pull apart.
