Beef And Corn Kebabs Recipe
BEEF AND CORN KEBABS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Glass Estate in Midlothian, Texas in 1991.

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 2/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1-1/2 pounds beef top round cut into 1" cubes
  • 4 ears corn husks removed and cut into 2" lengths
  • 2 red bell peppers seeded and cut into 1-1/2" squares

Directions
  1. Mix oil, vinegar, thyme, cayenne and garlic in medium bowl then add beef and toss to coat.
  2. Cover and place in refrigerator 4 hours to marinate.
  3. When ready to grill remove beef from marinade and set marinade aside.
  4. Place beef, corn and pepper onto six skewers leaving space between pieces.
  5. Brush liberally with marinade then grill kebabs over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  6. Brush with marinade occasionally and turn skewers regularly.
