How to make it

  • Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  • Cook to 234 degrees (soft ball).
  • Remove from heat and cool 5 minutes.
  • Blend in 1/4 cup butter.
  • Beat with mixer 5 minutes.
  • Blend in 1/2 cup plain flour, beat with mixer 15 minutes.
  • Add chopped nuts.
  • Pour into buttered pan.
