How to make it
- Cream sugar and shortening until light--add eggs lightly beaten.
- Then add flour, sifted measured and sifted with baking powder and salt.
- Alternate with the milk and flour, add nuts to the flour layer and fold in.
- Bake in a paper lined tube pan, 9 inche, for 35 or 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
- This cake needs no frosting, as it forms and unusual crust.
