Barley Stroganoff Stew Recipe
This is a very comforting, very tasty and very popular stew that is so good on a cold winter night. My aunt made this as far back as I can remember and it is so good. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 pound beef stew meat cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped white onion
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 can condensed beef broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup pearled barley
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients except sour cream in a slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on low 8 hours then turn off heat and stir in sour cream.
