Mock german chocolate cake but no chocolate. Sounds more like an oatmeal cake to me.

Ingredients
  • 1 c. one minute oats
  • 1 1/2 c. hot water pour oats, let stand
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • (creamed together)
  • Then add:
  • 1 tsp. of each cinnamon, soda, and vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c. flour

Directions
  1. Mix together.
  2. Pour into long pan (greased). Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
  3. ====================================================
  4. Icing
  5. 1 c. brown sugar
  6. 3/4 stick butter
  7. 3/4 c. cream
  8. Melt together and add 1 can coconut.
  9. Spread over cake as soon as you take from the oven.
