Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and mix by using the on/off pulse function until the ingredients are mostly blended.
  • Continue mixing, gradually increasing the speed, until the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour into a glass and garnish with an Apple Chip if desired.
  • Apple Chips:
  • 16-20 servings
  • 1 Granny Smith or Golden Delicious Apple, unpeeled and uncored
  • 4 cups Cold Water
  • 1/4 cup fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 cups granulated Sugar
  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Thinly slice the apples into horizontal rings, about 1/2-inch thick.
  • Place the apple rings in a bowl filled with 2 cups water and 2 Tbls. lemon juice. Set aside.
  • Combine the remaining 2 cups water and 2 Tbls. lemon juice with the sugar in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the mixture comes to a boil, stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar.
  • Add the apples and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until the mixture returns to a boil.
  • Using tongs, remove the apples from the syrup and place them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Pat the apples dry with a double layer of paper towels.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until the apple rings are dry.
  • If the apple rings are not dry after 1 hour, turn off the oven and allow them to dry in the warm oven.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
