Plaice with leek and bacon stuffing

- 1tbsp oil shopping list
- 1oz butter shopping list
- 1 leek trimmed and chopped shopping list
- 1/2 pint double cream shopping list
- pinch of ground nutmeg shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 6oz mushrooms shopping list
- 4 rashers bacon shopping list
- 4 plaice fillets shopping list
- 3oz gruyere cheese shopping list
- parsley to garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Pre heat oven to gas 7
- Grease a 3 pint shallow ovenproof dish
- Heat oil and butter in a frying pan,add leek,mushrooms and bacon
- Cover and cook over a low heat for 10 minutes stirrring until tender
- Lay the plaice fillets skinned side up on a clean work surface.Divide the leek mixture between the fillets,fold over and place in dish
- Season the cream with nutmeg,salt and pepper and pour over the fillets Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 20 minutes until fish is tender.Scatter parsley over the top and serve immediately
