My Lemon French Toast

- 2 fresh organic eggs shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
- pinch of freshly grated nutmeg, about 1/8 tsp shopping list
- zest of 1 small lemon, or about 1/2 of a large one shopping list
- 6 loaf pane italiano, sliced a little thick. shopping list
How to make it
- Crack eggs into a pie plate, grate in nutmeg and lemon zest. Beat well. Add cream, beat again.
- Heat a heavy non-stick pan to medium.
- Dip two slices of bread in the egg mixture, flip, then let soak until a little mushy.
- Let excess egg mixture drip off, and add bread to pan. Cook until golden on one side, then flip and cook until golden.
- Keep warm while cooking the rest of the french toast.
- Serve warm with butter & golden syrop.
