How to make it

  • In slow cooker mix drained beans, sauce, paste, honey and seasonings.
  • Cook bacon in saucepan over med-hi heat til crispy. Set bacon aside.
  • Cook onion and garlic in bacon drippings, when tender pour into slow cooker.
  • Crumble half of cooked, cooled bacon into slow cooker (save other half for garnish).
  • Mix well, cover and cook on low for 4-6 hrs. Serve on hot cooked white rice, garnish with reserved crumbled bacon.
