Double Chocolate Bombe

- White Mousse: shopping list
- 1 square semi sweet chocolate, melted shopping list
- 1 tsp. unflavored gelatin shopping list
- 2/3 c whipping cream shopping list
- 6 squares white chocolate shopping list
- 2 T butter shopping list
- 2 eggs, separated shopping list
- 1/4 c. sugar shopping list
- Dark Mousse: shopping list
- 1/3 c whipping cream shopping list
- 5 squares semi-sweet chocolate shopping list
- 2 T butter shopping list
- 2 eggs, separated shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Line a 6 cup mixing bowl with plastic wrap and drizzle inner surface with melted chocolate; freeze.
- White Mousse: In saucepan sprinkle gelatin over cream. Let stand 5 min. bring cream to a boil; remove from heat. Add white chocolate and butter; stir until melted. Blend in egg yolks. Beat egg whites until frothy; gradually add sugar, beating untils tiff peaks form. Fold into chocolate mixture; pour into prepared bowl. Freeze 30 minutes.
- Dark Mousse: Prepare dark mousse layer following white mousse directions, omitting gelatin step. Freeze until set, at least 8 hours.
- Unmould onto serving plate, removing plastic wrap. Cut into wedges and serve.
