Chestnut dressing

- 3 tbsp butter or margarine shopping list
- 1 pound chestnuts, roasted, peeled and chopped shopping list
- ¾ pound dried, pitted prunes, soaked overnight in water to cover, drained and chopped shopping list
- ¾ pound bulk pork sausage shopping list
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter or margarine in large skillet over medium heat. Add chestnuts, prunes, apples and sausage; sauté chestnut mixture 12 to 15 minutes or until apples are cooked but not falling apart. Let mixture cool.
- Spoon into bird cavity. Cook inside bird.
