- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 6 egg yolks shopping list
- 1 cup almonds, blanched and grated shopping list
- 1/2 cup double strength black coffee shopping list
- 2/3 cup fine bread crumbs shopping list
- 6 egg whites, stiffly beaten shopping list
- butter shopping list
- sugar shopping list
How to make it
- 1) Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy, then gradually beat in egg yolks until well blended.
- 2) Add almonds.
- 3) Soak bread crumbs in coffee, adding more if necessary until all coffee is absorbed.
- 4) Turn into egg yolk mixture and mix thoroughly.
- 5) Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites gently but thoroughly with a rubber spatula.
- 6) Butter a 6 cup pudding mold and sprinkle on sides and bottom with sugar. Turn filling into mold, cover and place in water bath that comes two thirds up the sides of the mold.
- 7) Steam 1 hour.
