Ingredients
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen cavatelli pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound sweet Italian pork sausage, casing removed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bag (about 16 ounces) frozen broccoli flowerets
  • 1 3/4 cups Swanson Chicken Broth (Regular, Natural Goodness or Certified Organic)
  • Grated Romano Cheese
  • Crushed red pepper

Directions
  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain well in colander. Return the pasta to saucepot.
  2. Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook until it's well browned, stirring frequently to separate meat. Remove the sausage with a slotted spoon. Set aside.
  3. Add the butter and garlic to skillet. Cook over medium heat about 2 minutes or until golden.
  4. Add the broccoli. Cook for 5 minutes until tender crisp, stirring often. Stir the broth into the skillet. Heat to a boil. Remove from heat.
  5. Add the broccoli mixture, sausage and 2 tablespoons cheese to the saucepot. Cook and stir over medium heat for 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Serve with the red pepper and additional cheese, if desired.
  6. Enjoy!
