Cavatelli with Sausage amp Broccoli

- 1 package (16 ounces) frozen cavatelli pasta shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 pound sweet Italian pork sausage, casing removed shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 bag (about 16 ounces) frozen broccoli flowerets shopping list
- 1 3/4 cups Swanson chicken broth (Regular, Natural Goodness or Certified Organic) shopping list
- Grated romano cheese shopping list
- Crushed red pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain well in colander. Return the pasta to saucepot.
- Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook until it's well browned, stirring frequently to separate meat. Remove the sausage with a slotted spoon. Set aside.
- Add the butter and garlic to skillet. Cook over medium heat about 2 minutes or until golden.
- Add the broccoli. Cook for 5 minutes until tender crisp, stirring often. Stir the broth into the skillet. Heat to a boil. Remove from heat.
- Add the broccoli mixture, sausage and 2 tablespoons cheese to the saucepot. Cook and stir over medium heat for 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Serve with the red pepper and additional cheese, if desired.
