Another one from Gma Roberts. She loved raisins and anything sweet. I remember that these breakfast scones and hot tea were the meal we shared before we would go fishing off her dock in Marathon.

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups of Bisquick ( or similar mix)
  • 3/4 cup of seedless raisins
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 450
  2. Beat egg until frothy and measure out milk.
  3. Then stir up the biscuit mix with sugar and raisins.
  4. Next, stir in egg & milk, stirring well.
  5. Divide dough into two parts and pat or roll eachportion on a floured board into circle about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Cut each circle into wedges (6) just like a pie.
  7. Poke holes in top of each scone with a fork.
  8. Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Place on baking sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes.
  10. Serve very hot.
