1932 Louisiana Put-Together

- 3/4 - pound beef (flank) shopping list
- 4- tablespoons melted shortening shopping list
- 3- onions , sliced shopping list
- 1- green pepper, sliced shopping list
- 1- cup tomato soup shopping list
- 1- cup diced celery shopping list
- 1 1/2 - teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1- cup cooked vegetables or ( leftover veggies) such as green beans , peas carrots, corn etc….. shopping list
- 8- stuffed olives sliced shopping list
- 2- cups rice steamed shopping list
How to make it
- Cut your meat into very thin slices, then fry in a hot skillet filled with the melted shortening until brown and crisp.
- Remove the meat and set aside.
- Now cook the onions and green pepper in the shortening until they are soft.
- Add the tomato soup, meat celery, and seasonings…….
- Simmer until the onions and celery are tender…….
- Add your cooked vegetables or( left over veggies)and olives. And cook thru till hot ……..
- This should be served on a bed a steamed rice
- Sprinkle some fresh parsley on top for garnish……..
