How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375F, line cookie sheets with parchment or SilPat.
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Combine flours, baking soda and salt.
  • Add dry mix to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool on racks.
