Ingredients
  • 2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoon butter or margarine -- melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup boiling water

Directions
  1. Toss the blueberries with cinnamon and lemon juice; place in a greased 8"square baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder;
  3. stir in milk and butter.
  4. Spoon over berries.
  5. Combine sugar and cornstarch;sprinkle over batter.
  6. Slowly pour boiling water over all.
  7. Bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes or until the cake tests done.
