Orange Peel Pork

- 2 large pieces dried orange peel shopping list
- 2-1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil shopping list
- 6 small dried red chilies shopping list
- 1 small white onion cut into 1” pieces shopping list
- 1 stalk celery cut into 2” pieces shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon water shopping list
- 1 orange sliced shopping list
- Marinade: shopping list
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch shopping list
- 3/4 pound flank steak thinly sliced across the grain shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 1/3 cup orange juice shopping list
- 2 tablespoons rice wine shopping list
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon chili garlic sauce shopping list
- 2 teaspoons sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Soak peel in warm water to cover until softened about 20 minutes then drain and thinly slice.
- Combine marinade ingredients in bowl then add pork and stir then allow to stand 10 minutes.
- Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl then place a wok over high heat until hot.
- Add 2 tablespoons oil swirling to coat sides then add chilies and cook stirring often 10 seconds.
- Add pork and stir fry until 3 minutes then remove meat and chilies from pan.
- Add remaining oil swirling to coat sides then add peel, onion and celery and stir fry 1 minute.
- Return meat and chilies to wok and add sauce then bring to a boil.
- Add cornstarch solution and cook stirring until sauce boils and thickens.
- Place on a serving plate and garnish with orange slices.

Love this! My ex is from Mexico, and we always used a similar marinade for pork. I bet this is even better! Can't wait to try it!
