Het Pint

- 2 medium eggs shopping list
- 6 cups (1.5 L) pale ale shopping list
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) nutmeg shopping list
- 2 tbsp (25 ml) sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup (175 ml) whiskey shopping list
How to make it
- Beat the eggs in a large bowl and set aside.
- Pour the ale into a saucepan and stir in the nutmeg.
- Heat to nearly boiling, stir in the sugar, and remove from heat.
- Stir 1/4 cup (50 ml) of the hot liquid into the eggs.
- Stir in the rest of the liquid slowly, stirring constantly.
- Stir in the whiskey and return the mixture to the saucepan.
- Heat to near the boiling point, stirring constantly. Do not allow it to boil.
- Pour into a drinking tankard and proceed to pouring the "het" pint back and fourth between the saucepan and the tankard until a froth forms.
- Serve at once.
