Pilaf with Chicken Liver - Ic Pilav

- 3/4 cup rice shopping list
- 2 tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 100 gr liver, chicken or lamb, cut in small pieces shopping list
- 2 tbsp pine nuts shopping list
- 2 tbsp current shopping list
- 1 cup hot chicken or beef broth shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp allspice shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Saute the onion with butter for 2-3 minutes while stirring.
- Add the liver, nuts, current and saute for another 3-4 minutes.
- Then add rice, cinnamon, allspice, salt and pepper, stir.
- Pour chicken stock in it. stir (this time only)
- Cover. Turn the heat down, cook until the rice absorbs all the water.
- Let the Pilaf stand for about 5 minutes, without lid
- lightly toss and serve

Liver is not too popular in the US, so it's hard to fine good recipes with it. I appreciate you posting this, it's on my list to try out. Keep those Turkish recipes rolling!
