How to make it

  • Saute the onion with butter for 2-3 minutes while stirring.
  • Add the liver, nuts, current and saute for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Then add rice, cinnamon, allspice, salt and pepper, stir.
  • Pour chicken stock in it. stir (this time only)
  • Cover. Turn the heat down, cook until the rice absorbs all the water.
  • Let the Pilaf stand for about 5 minutes, without lid
  • lightly toss and serve

    Liver is not too popular in the US, so it's hard to fine good recipes with it. I appreciate you posting this, it's on my list to try out. Keep those Turkish recipes rolling!
