Ingredients

2 1/2 lb stew meat

1 tbsp sugar

3 tbsp tapioca

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 slice bread( broken up into pieces)

1 cup celery, chopped

6 carrots, peeled and chunked

3-4 large potatoes, peeled and chunked

1 onion, chopped

1 (28 oz)can whole tomatoes, chopped

1 quart water

Directions

Mix all ingredients into a large roaster pan.

Cover. Bake in pre-heated 250 degree oven for 5 hours.

Note: Easy tip for chopping can tomatoes------leave tomatoes in can, take a sharp knife and cut through tomatoes while in can. Saves you from putting them on a cutting board or squeezing them by hand.
