How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350
  • Saute the onions until they become translucent
  • Mix the sugar, mustard, vinegar and tomato sauce in a separate bowl
  • Mix 1/4 cup of the sauce mixture, the onions and egg and bread crumbs with the meat
  • Form a loaf and place the meat in a roasting pan and pour the sauce over the loaf
  • Bake for 1 hour, basting every 15 minutes
  • Serve the sauce on the side

    Sounds like a great meat loaf! Reminds me of the recipe my husband's aunt gave me, although it uses tomato soup. I know how good it is, and I expect this one tastes a lot like it! Thanks for posting!
