How to make it

  • In saucepan, saute onion in oil over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Add garlic and saute 1 minute.
  • In bowl, whisk together honey, ketchup, lemon juice, soy sauce, oyster sauce and chili paste. Add to skillet.
  • Simmer uncovered 15 minutes.
  • Cover and chill until ready to use.
  • Arrange chicken in glass pie plate. Cover with plastic wrap, venting to release steam. Microwave on high setting 5 minutes.
  • Turn chicken. Recover and microwave 5 additional minutes. Remove and let cool slightly. Cut into 1 inch cubes.
  • Arrange peppers and onion wedges in pie plate. Cover, venting, and microwave 3 minutes.
  • Divide chicken and vegetables between 6 wooden or metal skewers.
  • Brush liberally with sauce.
  • Grill (or broil) 4 minutes per side, brushing with additonal sauce.
