Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tspn vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 2/3 cup white chips
  • prepared colored icing
  • cookie cutters

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 300F. Beat butter, powdered sugar and vanilla in a large bowl till creamy, about 3-5 minutes. Add cocoa, beat till well blended. Gradually add flour, stirring at low speed till smooth.
  2. Roll or pat dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into holiday shapes, using a star, tree, wreath or other cookie cutters. Reroll scraps of dough and cut again into shapes until all the dough is consumed.
  3. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.(place similar shapes on the same sheet for even baking)
  4. Bake 15 - 20 mins or just until firm. Immediately place white chips, flat side down in decorative design on warm cookies in order for the chips to hold on the cookies. Cool slightly: remove from the sheet and trnsfer to wire rack. Cool completely; Store in airtight container.
