From athomebaker 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tspn vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 cup cocoa shopping list
- 1 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 2/3 cup white chips shopping list
- prepared colored icing shopping list

How to make it
- Heat oven to 300F. Beat butter, powdered sugar and vanilla in a large bowl till creamy, about 3-5 minutes. Add cocoa, beat till well blended. Gradually add flour, stirring at low speed till smooth.
- Roll or pat dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into holiday shapes, using a star, tree, wreath or other cookie cutters. Reroll scraps of dough and cut again into shapes until all the dough is consumed.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheets.(place similar shapes on the same sheet for even baking)
- Bake 15 - 20 mins or just until firm. Immediately place white chips, flat side down in decorative design on warm cookies in order for the chips to hold on the cookies. Cool slightly: remove from the sheet and trnsfer to wire rack. Cool completely; Store in airtight container.
