How to make it

  • Mix together flour, baking powder, pepper and salt.
  • Beat butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  • Beat in Grand Marnier/limoncello, vanilla extract and lemon zest
  • Beat in the eggs.
  • Combine the egg mixture with the flour mixture.
  • Form dough into two balls, wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Line a baking sheet with greased waxed paper.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Remove dough balls from refrigerator.
  • Make each ball into a 12x2" log.
  • Place on prepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 40 minutes OR until they test done.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Cool five minutes.
  • Reduce oven heat to 325 degrees F.
  • Cut logs 3/4" wide on the diagonal.
  • Return to oven for about 20 minutes, until dry.
