Lemon Pepper Biscotti

- 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 stick unsalted butter, room temperature shopping list
- 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier OR limoncello shopping list
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon zest shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
How to make it
- Mix together flour, baking powder, pepper and salt.
- Beat butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Beat in Grand Marnier/limoncello, vanilla extract and lemon zest
- Beat in the eggs.
- Combine the egg mixture with the flour mixture.
- Form dough into two balls, wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Line a baking sheet with greased waxed paper.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Remove dough balls from refrigerator.
- Make each ball into a 12x2" log.
- Place on prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake for 40 minutes OR until they test done.
- Remove from oven.
- Cool five minutes.
- Reduce oven heat to 325 degrees F.
- Cut logs 3/4" wide on the diagonal.
- Return to oven for about 20 minutes, until dry.
