White Cheddar Mac And Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
  • 16 oz. package macaroni, elbow or small shells
  • 4 1/2 T butter
  • 4 1/2 T flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup dried minced onion
  • 6 cups shredded white cheddar cheese (3 8 oz. bricks)

Directions
  1. Cook macaroni in boiling water till tender. Drain.
  2. Melt butter in saucepan. Blend in flour. Add milk. Cook, stirring constantly, till thick.
  3. Add salt, pepper, onion and cheese. Stir till cheese is melted.
  4. Mix sauce with macaroni. Turn into casserole dish. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes till bubbly and brown on top.
