Chinese Oven-Fried Pork Chops Recipe
Instead of pan frying in oil, try this healthier version.

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 3 T soy sauce
  • 1 T dry sherry or water
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • bread crumbs
  • 4 pork chops

Directions
  1. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Beat egg, soy sauce, sherry, ginger and garlic powder in shallow dish (pie plate works well). Put bread crumbs in another dish.
  2. Dip the chops in egg mixture, then press into bread crumbs, coating evenly on both sides and edges. Repeat. Arrange in single layer on cookie sheet.
  3. Bake in 350 oven for 15-20 minutes. Turn and bake another 10-20 minutes until done - no longer pink inside. Cooking time will vary depending on thickness of chops.

Yum - I haven't had pork chops in a long time. Should we use panko bread crumbs for this one? I'm sure any type of bread crumbs would work tho. This would be great with that Mac & cheese!
