An easy recipe for an automatic rice steamer. Goes terrifically with pork and ham. Or with ice cream, or with crepes and ice cream! Yummy!

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. ground clove
  • 1 tsp cinnamon or 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 med apples, cored and peeled around the middle
  • 1`med apple chopped into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/2 box raisins
  • I Tbsp lemon juice

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients except lemon juice and chopped apple in rice cooker, turn on.
  2. When rice cooker stops, apples are done.
  3. Remove skins.
  4. Add chopped apple and lemon juice.
  5. Stir well.
  6. Serve warm.

Yep- granny smith is what i used...
had to find a way to use all the apples that have been in season...
