How to make it

  • Cut the top and bottom from each cactus pear.
  • Slice the side from end to end.
  • Peel off the inner and outer skins at the same time.
  • Cut up fruit.
  • Place in a blender,cover and process till smooth.
  • Press mixture through a sieve,reserving pulp and juice(about 1 cup)
  • Discard seeds.
  • Combine the pear pulp and juice,tequila,lime juice,orange liqueur,sugar and 1 cup of water.
  • Pour half of the mixture in a blender,add half of the ice cubes.
  • Cover and blend till the ice is in small pieces.
  • Rub rims of glasse with lime juice,dip in coarse salt.
  • Serve margaritas over crushed ice.
  • ENJOY!
