Ingredients
  • 4 to 5 Ripe Cactus Pears(prickly pears),about 1 pound
  • 3/4 Cup Tequila
  • 3/4 Cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/4 Cup Orange Liqueur
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Ice Cubes
  • Garnish: Lime slices,corase salt,crushed ice

Directions
  1. Cut the top and bottom from each cactus pear.
  2. Slice the side from end to end.
  3. Peel off the inner and outer skins at the same time.
  4. Cut up fruit.
  5. Place in a blender,cover and process till smooth.
  6. Press mixture through a sieve,reserving pulp and juice(about 1 cup)
  7. Discard seeds.
  8. Combine the pear pulp and juice,tequila,lime juice,orange liqueur,sugar and 1 cup of water.
  9. Pour half of the mixture in a blender,add half of the ice cubes.
  10. Cover and blend till the ice is in small pieces.
  11. Rub rims of glasse with lime juice,dip in coarse salt.
  12. Serve margaritas over crushed ice.
  13. ENJOY!

I know that I'm not much of a drinker.I know that my boyfriends mom would LOVE this one.Her & her ice.This would work for the holidays.Thank you for saven my neck on this one.I've been tryen to think of an mixed drink.What can I say.I was brainless on it.
