Khao Pad Bai Kraprow

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves minced shopping list
- 2 small serrano chilies seeded and chopped shopping list
- 1/4 pound shrimp peeled and deveined shopping list
- 4 cups cold cooked long grain white rice crushed gently to break up any clumps shopping list
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 2 green onions white and green portions chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup fresh Thai basil leaves firmly packed shopping list
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro shopping list
How to make it
- Heat a wok over medium high heat then when hot add oil, salt and garlic.
- Stir fry until garlic is golden about 30 seconds.
- Add chilies and shrimp then stir fry until shrimp just turn pink about 30 seconds.
- Add rice and stir fry until heated through about 3 minutes.
- Add soy sauce, fish sauce and sugar then stir fry to combine thoroughly.
- Add green onions and basil leaves then stir fry until leaves begin to wilt about 30 seconds.
- Transfer rice to a serving bowl or platter and garnish with cilantro then serve immediately.
