How to make it

  • Heat a wok over medium high heat then when hot add oil, salt and garlic.
  • Stir fry until garlic is golden about 30 seconds.
  • Add chilies and shrimp then stir fry until shrimp just turn pink about 30 seconds.
  • Add rice and stir fry until heated through about 3 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, fish sauce and sugar then stir fry to combine thoroughly.
  • Add green onions and basil leaves then stir fry until leaves begin to wilt about 30 seconds.
  • Transfer rice to a serving bowl or platter and garnish with cilantro then serve immediately.
