Flavorful chili dish. My Dad's original with a few changes/adds of my own over the years. This is a favorite of my family and requested often!!

Ingredients
  • 1 lb browned pork sausage, mild or hot
  • 1 lb browned ground chuck
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 can of diced tomatos
  • 1 can "Rotel" tomatos
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 3 cans dark red kidney beans drained
  • 1/2 cup coffee
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Combine ingredients into large sauce pan or crook pot
  2. Allow to cook minimun of 3 hours.
  3. Serve over rice with additonal chopped onion and a good colby cheese. Or with oyster crackers.
