How to make it

  • Per heat over 350, line muffin pan with liner cups
  • in small bowl whisk together the flour ginger cinnamon cloves and salt set aside
  • in a medium bowl beat butter until light and fluffy on high speed.
  • beat in sugar until mixture is very light and fluffy,
  • then beat in the molasses.
  • Lower speed to medium
  • stir baking soda into boiling water, then pour into the butter mixture
  • lower speed to low. sift in the flour mixture until blended add the eggs and beat in
  • pour batter into muffin tin
  • bake for about 20 mins
