Scalloped Potatoes With Jalapeno Chilies Dated 1961

- 1/4 cup butter divided shopping list
- 3/4 cup onion finely chopped and divided shopping list
- 12 potatoes peeled and thinly sliced shopping list
- 1-teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1-teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 3 cups milk, divided shopping list
- 4 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups heavy cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped jalapeno peppers shopping list
How to make it
- Heat butter in heavy skillet then add onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add potatoes, salt, pepper and nutmeg then stir gently.
- Add milk and simmer 1 minute then sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- Pour cream over top and sprinkle with jalapeno.
- Place in well greased casserole dish and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
