I know this recipe came out of a cook book , i am not sure which one however. My family has been making this dish for as long as i can remember. The recipe was transcribed from memory

Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce (15 oz) or Pizza Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Green Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder or Minced Garlic Clove
  • 2 Tbls Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Parsley flakes
  • 8 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ==========================
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbls Oil
  • 2 Tbls Chopped Green Onion

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 deg F
  2. Brown the beef in a skillet and drain the grease
  3. Combine the Tomato Sauce,Green Pepper, Onions (not the green ones, those are for soemthing else), Garlic, 2 Tbls Flour, 1/2 tsp Salt, Pepper and the parsley with the ground beef.
  4. Stir until everything is incorporated.
  5. Put the mixture in a 9x9 baking pan
  6. Sprinkle the cheese on top of the meat
  7. In a bowl, combine the 2 eggs, 1 cup Milk, 1 cup Flour, 1/2 tsp Salt and the 1 Tbls oil.
  8. Mix it all together to make a batter. (it will be very runny)
  9. Pour it over the cheese and meat.
  10. Sprinkler the Green Onions on top of the batter.
  11. bake for 25-30 minutes
