Peanut Butter Brownies

- 1 cup creamy peanut butter shopping list
- 2/3 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 + 1/2 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 6 oz. mini chocolate bits shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add baking powder to flour and sift.
- With mixer running, mix flour mixture into batter two or three spoonfuls at a time until it is all added.
- Mix in chocolate bits.
- Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. This will actually under-cook them a little bit, resulting in a very soft and chewy brownie. Cook an additional 5 minutes for a "cakier" brownie.
- Brownies are best stored in the fridge, especially if you opt for the shorter baking time.
