Kentucky Straight Chocolate Pecan Pie

- 1 frozen deep dish pie shell shopping list
- 1/2 dark corn syrup shopping list
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup shopping list
- 1 cup granulate sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup pecan chips shopping list
- 1 cup half pecans shopping list
- 3 tablespoon bourbon shopping list
- 1/2 cup small chocolate chips (works well with semi-sweet or milk) shopping list
- (can use 1 cup of either dark or light corn syrup if preferred) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix corn syrup, eggs, vanilla and sugar at low speed in stand mixer
- when mixture becomes froothy, add bourbon
- Add pecan chips at low speed
- Remove beater and stir in pecan halfs by hand
- sprinkle chocolate chips to cover bottom of pie shell
- pour mixture over chocolate chips
- bake 55 minure at 350 or until center is firm
- (I usually bake on cookie sheet as precaution of overflow)
- Let cool 1 hour.
- Slice into 6 or 8 piecies, serve as is or reheat in Microwave and top with ice cream or whipped topping
