Funnel Cakes Recipe
This is a great snack. Don"t let the shredded wheat fool you. These are better than the regular funnel cakes. You will be making these over and over.

Ingredients
  • Veg Oil for frying
  • 3 Cups all purpose flour
  • 1 Cup Shredded wheat biscuits (Shredded into crumbs)
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tbs baking powder
  • 1/2 tea Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 1 Tea Vanilla

Directions
  1. In large skillet pour oil 3/4 inch
  2. Heat to 375 degrees
  3. In Med bowl combine flour shredded wheat crumbs, sugar,baking powder and salt mix and set aside
  4. In large bowl with mixer at med speed beat eggs with milk and vanilla
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture, beat until smooth.
  6. Holding funnel end closed fill funnel with batter open end and allow dough to run out in a stream into hot fat.
  7. Move the funnel to make pattern
  8. Startging at center of pan and swriling batter outward in a circle.
  9. Fry 2 or 3 minutes turning once until both sides are golden brown, use tongs put on paper towel to drain.
  10. Sprinkle with powder sugar or strawberies or cherries or and kind of fruit.
  11. Can be made and refergerated a few days if batter thickens just add a little milk.
