Southwestern Baked Corn Casserole

- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped white onion shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter softened shopping list
- 8 ounce package cream cheese softened shopping list
- 15 ounce can whole kernel corn drained shopping list
- 15 ounce can creamed corn shopping list
- 4 ounce can chopped green chilies shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 can fried onions divided shopping list
How to make it
- In small skillet heat oil over medium heat then sauté onion until translucent.
- Combine butter and cream cheese then stir in corn, peppers, onion, sugar, salt and pepper.
- Pour into greased square baking dish then bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and stir in half of the fried onions.
- Sprinkle remaining onions on top and bake 20 minutes more.
