Rhode Island Linguine With Clam Sauce Recipe
RHODE ISLAND LINGUINE WITH CLAM SAUCE This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Wasters Estate in Van, Texas in 1992.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 white onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 cans minced clams
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Hot cooked linguine

Directions
  1. Sauté onion and garlic for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain in liquid from clams to onion and garlic mix reserving clams.
  3. Add parsley, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper then simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in clams then add cooked linguine and stir well and serve.
