Ingredients
  • 1 gal apple cider
  • 1 large can pineapple juice (1qt 14 oz)
  • 28 cloves
  • 8 sticks cinnamon, broken in halves
  • 1 6 oz can frozen orange juice
  • 16 oz Apple Jack

Directions
  1. Heat in a large stainless steel pot the cider, pineapple juice, orange juice mixture and seasonings. Allow to simmer at near the boiling point for 3 hours.
  2. When ready to serve, transfer to a large crockpot and set on HI.
  3. Provide cups, a jigger, and the Apple Jack to be added according to preference. About 1/2 to 1 oz per cup provides a nice flavor. Do not add the apple brandy directly to the simmering wassail in the crockpot as the alcohol will evaporate prior to consumption.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm.....sounds wonderful...can I add fresh ground nutmeg? If I ask nicely and say pretty please? ;) Lovely addition, Rottman, thank you!

Wellll..... ok ;-)

I think if I were to add any other spices, I'd have to go with a few allspice.

Apple Jack is great this time of year in coffee as well. ...or straight up...

Well, thanks for the permission...;) I just LOVE nutmeg with fruit and cinnamon, so, for me, it was a given...can't wait...hehehe

Hope you like it Keni. Let me know how the nutmeg works. I'm sure it will be great. Your alterations are always appreciated.
