What the heck is buckwheat? It's actually an herb. The seeds of the buckwheat plant are used to make buckwheat flour. Buckwheat originated in Russia. Very Tasty If I Say So Myself! Most Health Food and Organic Markets Carry Buckwheat Flour!
Ingredients
- 1 cup self raising flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup buckwheat flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 2 egg -- separated shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sour cream shopping list
- 4 tablespoons melted butter shopping list
- 1 and 1/2 cups milk shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients, except for egg whites.
- Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and fold into mixture.
- Cook in your waffle iron for about 2 and 1/2 minutes until golden.
