Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour...plus extra for dusting loaves
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbls. molasses
  • 1/2-3/4 tsp. caraway seeds

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Grease baking sheet
  3. In mixing bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt
  4. Add buttermilk, molasses, and caraway seeds
  5. Stir until a dough forms
  6. With floured hands, halve dough and then form halves into round loaves
  7. Put loaves onto baking sheet and dust with flour
  8. Cut a shallow X into top, about 2 inches wide
  9. Bake for 25 minutes, until lightly browned
