Rum Syrup

RUM SYRUP This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Tumble Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1982.
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1 teaspoon butter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 3 tablespoons rum shopping list
How to make it
- Boil sugar and water 5 minutes then add butter, vanilla and rum and cook until syrupy.
