Ransomed Caramel Corn Dated 1971

- 2 cups light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup shopping list
- 2 sticks butter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon soda shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 8 cups popped corn shopping list
How to make it
- Mix sugar, syrup and butter in heavy saucepan then bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat then add soda, cream of tartar and salt.
- Immediately pour mixture over popped corn then mix lightly but thoroughly.
- Place in large roaster then bake at 200 for 1 hour.
- Pour onto waxed paper and separate grains.
